Cameron Highlands - Tandoori

Restauran Bunga Suria "authentic south indian cuisine".
That's what the signboard says, interestingly we enjoyed the North Indian cuisine here.

It is located in Tanah Rata, around 15mins drive from Cameron Highlands peak. I asked the person at the cashier (possibly the owner or a relative) and he confirmed the food is Halal. However it seems they have an adjoining bar which opens at night and might be selling alcohol.

The ambiance is nice, they've got a few choices from outdoors (on the five footer) to inside and to a more private area. Here I am sitting in the 'private' area.

Being lovers of North Indian food, we ordered the nan / tandoori set. Price might be slightly higher then in the lowlands, but that's acceptable.
The set came with a nan, papadam, chick peas (kacang kuda )+ cauliflour, veggy acar (cucumber, onions and pineapples), coleslaw salad (or was it yogurt) and of course the tandoori chicken. Wait a minute, there was even a kaseri (sweets) on top of the nan.Perhaps the kaseri should have been served on a separate plate. The nan set was not disappointing. We enjoyed the the food.

We also ordered on the side (ala carte) fish curry and lassi. The fish curry was average.

They also have the normal fish and curry (lauk) choices to choose from. It did seem appetizing. Possibly the serving and maybe the lights.
